<p>AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM<br />
Our supervised &#038; structured after school program is designed for children 4th– 12th grades from 2:30 pm – 7:00 pm. Activities include: games, sports, arts and crafts, ice skating, bowling, theme events, tournaments, physical fitness and use of all Scott Rakow Youth Center amenities. Free transportation is provided for all registered after school participants from the following school sites: North Beach Elementary, South Pointe Elementary, Feinberg Fisher Elementary and Nautilus Middle School.</p>

Residents: $150 ($87.50 for sibling)<br />
Non-Residents: $300 ($162.50 for sibling)</p>

<p>Scholarships<br />
Fee reduction and/or waivers are available for qualified Miami Beach residents. Sibling discounts are also available for those who qualify. No Miami Beach child will be excluded from a recreation program based on their inability to pay.</p>
<p>In order to apply for a scholarship please bring the following documentation:<br />
One of the following: Lease or property tax statement AND Two of the following: Picture ID, voter’s card, driver’s license, utility bill. Applicants must also fill out a  scholarship application and submit income verification such as income tax, section 8 subsidy, Medicaid, food stamps or any other government assistance. An applicant that receives free/reduced school lunch qualifies for an automatic 50% scholarship with proof. The City reserves the right to require additional documentation, when appropriate.</p>

		<description><![CDATA[Normandy Isle Park is 3.36 acres of FREE fun in the sun on Miami Beach.]]></description>
			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Normandy Isle Park is a 3.6 acre park located between 71st Street and Normandy Isle Drive.  Here you will find 2 basket ball courts as well as a lighted soccer field for night playing.  The park includes restrooms and a water fountain.  The play ground is designed for 2 to 12 year old people.  There are 6 picnic tables with a covered gazebo.  There are no swings.  There is a water play component in the outdoor pool area.<br />
There are two separate pool areas.  The main pool is a 4 lane lap pool that is heated in the winter and aerated in the summer to maintain an 82 to 84 degree temperature.  The main pool has two lanes opened for lap swimming during the day and an open area for free and fun play.  The second water playground is a zero to 15 inches interactive/play pool.  The pool area offers showers and a locker room.<br />

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Flamingo Park is has a large number of old growth trees that relate its history to its present. Flamingo, as the locals call it, covers 34.5 acres. There are three main entrances to the Park that will lead you down the main promenade: 11th Street and Jefferson Avenue, 13th Street and Michigan Avenue and 13th Street and Meridian Avenue. The park is located on 11th Street between Alton Road and Meridian Avenue. On Alton Road between 11th Street and 12th Street. On Meridian Ave between 11th Street and Espanola Way. On Michigan between 12th Street and 15th Street. It is the most used park and our oldest park. If you&#8217;re holidaying nearby, then this park is certainly worth a visit. After all, if you&#8217;re not local to the area then it can be a long flight to South Florida, and it would be a shame to miss out on some of the best attractions of the area. Flamingo Park is a must for any visitors who enjoy the great outdoors, and with many cheap airline tickets (<a target="_blank" href="http://www.fly.com/">Fly</a>) available to nearby airports, its no wonder that this is a popular destination for tourists. It&#8217;s suitable for all the family too, and can offer a fun day of entertainment.</p>
<p>For those that are permanent residents, the park not only provides an enjoyable natural space, but it&#8217;s after school programme is perfect for those with young children. Meanwhile, the sports courts offer great facilities for those who are a little older. Whether you are simply on a short visit to this area, or are staying here long-term, be sure to make the most of this park&#8217;s superb facilities.</p>
<p>The park has the beaches only Baseball Stadium where the Hi-Tides our high school baseball team plays for free. It also has our only Football Stadium where the Hi-Tides Football team plays their home gave.<br />
Flamingo includes an 8-lane lap pool is heated in the winter and aerated in the summer to maintain a year round temperature of 82 degrees. There is also a toddler’s pool near by that goes from zero to 15 inches depth. There are 5-twenty foot umbrellas, locker rooms with shower, vending machines and a concession stand.<br />
Flamingo includes a bark park for your best friend. There are also two full court basketball courts. Also you can find 6 one wall handball/racquetball courts and 6 four wall courts. All the courts are outside and available for night play. There is a 400 meters, 6 lane running track. 2 laps equal ½ mile and 4 laps equal 1 mile. The tennis center includes 19 clay courts and a pro shop.<br />
The tot lot/playground is make for the 2 to 5 year old crowd with another area for the 5 to 12 year old crowd and includes a rock climbing wall. There are swings for tots and youth. There is a swing for the physical disabled. The public restroom is near the tennis courts and there is a water fountain.</p>
<p>Flamingo Park’s after school program provides supervised and structured activities Monday through Friday from 2:00 pm–6:00 pm for children grades K-6th. The program is designed to provide activities, which include: games, arts &amp; crafts, physical fitness, theme events and much more. Transportation is provided from Fienberg Fisher, South Pointe, Nautilus and Miami Beach Senior High schools for registered after school participants. In addition, on teacher planning days and school holidays and breaks, the program is open from 8:00 am – 6:00 pm. Parents are encouraged to visit Flamingo Park as part of the registration process and for additional details. Registration is limited, secure your spot today.<br />

<p>It was designed in 1922 by Coral Gable&#8217;s founding father, George Merrick in conjunction with his artist uncle, Denman Fink and architect, Phineas Paist. Carved out of a coral rock quarry, it holds 820,000 gallons of fresh spring water.</p>
<p>The rounded archways greet you as soon as you enter the front gate and follow you throughout the buildings. For your enjoyment, there is a Cafe, beach, cobblestone bridge, 2 waterfalls, coral caves and more! There are three observation towers that surround the pool, connected by the spacious verandas &amp; entryways.</p>
<p>Learn how to swim with the pool&#8217;s diverse swimming lessons. For those of you expert swimmers, you can get your lifeguard training here too!</p>
