Enter Butterfly World. This is the biggest butterfly house in the hemisphere, with 10 acres of botanical gardens, waterfalls & aviaries.
There are over 150 species seen throughout the year & over 5,000 butterflies on display at any one time. From the Archaeoprepona Demophon Butterfly to the Vindula Erota, you’ll have the opportunity to experience an amazing spectrum of these beauties.
These butterflies share their home with a number of birds such as the “Free Flight” Humingbird, Lorikeet, Blue Cheeked Cordon Bleu, Madagascar Red Fodie, Japanese White Eyes, Yellow Legged Honeycreeper and many more!
Butterfly world is also a center for research and education. Working with the University of South Florida, Butterfly world has already been successful in saving the endangered Schaus Swallowtail butterfly.
Special school & educational programs including a one hours guided tour, are available with discounted group rates to boot!
The majority of the park is outdoors. However, “Rain” checks are availabele if you encounter wet weather.
