This unique Venetian style pool is located in the “City Beautiful”, otherwise known as Coral Gables.
It was designed in 1922 by Coral Gable’s founding father, George Merrick in conjunction with his artist uncle, Denman Fink and architect, Phineas Paist. Carved out of a coral rock quarry, it holds 820,000 gallons of fresh spring water.
The rounded archways greet you as soon as you enter the front gate and follow you throughout the buildings. For your enjoyment, there is a Cafe, beach, cobblestone bridge, 2 waterfalls, coral caves and more! There are three observation towers that surround the pool, connected by the spacious verandas & entryways.
Learn how to swim with the pool’s diverse swimming lessons. For those of you expert swimmers, you can get your lifeguard training here too!
*Children under 3 are not admitted to the facility. Accepted forms of payment are Cash or check.
