The Coconut Grove Bed Race – September 5, 2010

The race is held on Commodore Plaza. The rules are four people push the beds and one person is on the bed. Before the Bed race there will be a Parade of Beds. The event will also include fireworks and music.

RACE 2-5 PM:
2 PM Race Begins ! (Time trials, Grand Ave.)
4 PM Championship Racing – Quarters, Semis, and Finals (Grand Ave.)
5 PM Post Race Celebration: merchant drink and dinner specials

There will be parking available for $10.00 in Cocunut grive
elemntary. Funds raised will benefit the school!!!

This number has been disconnected. I read at another website that this event had been postponed. Is this correct?

I went to the Coconut Grove Grapevine, and it appears they were running out of time to plan this years Coconut Grove Bed Race, so the event has been moved to September 6, 2009. This date is Labor Day weekend. The phone number was last years number, so it was let go while not in use. Thank you for your comment. Miami Fun Guide.com has been updated for the Coconut Grove Bed Race.

The race starts at 2:00 pm on Sunday September 5, 2010.
Just about everyone in the grove seems to show up for the bed race. Plus many people from all over Miami-Dade county.
A chair would be a good idea, especially if you are going to show up an hour or two early to get a good seat.
